Thank you PTO Teacher Appreciation Committee for a great year!With your help we were able to recognize the teacher's on numerous occasions:the Fall Book Drive for their Lounge, Apple Day for Homecoming, Pumpkin Pies for Thanksgiving, Holiday Breakfast, Chocolate Bars for Valentine's Day, a special note in The Advocate, Library Breakfast, and the year-end Cookbook Drive.
We have enjoyed working with you all!Hope you have a wonderful summer!

Thanks to the hard work of the Teacher Appreciation Committee, the PTO collected new or gently used cookbooks for our teachers,The books are on display in the teachers' lounge and are available on a first-come, first serve basis for all teachers who care to take them.

On Friday, October 10th, members of the Teacher Appreciation committee welcomed our teachers with apples which were generously donated by Central parent Mr. Damian Marano.
The Teacher Appreciation Committee Book Drive is Complete!!! What a huge success the teacher book drive has been!! We have already collected enough books to stock the entire book case in the staff lunch room. The books were delivered and placed on the shelves, along with a nice table top poster and a lovely bouquet of flowers. We will end the drive for now-- as we have sufficiently stocked their shelves. We will no longer be collecting books at this time. In addition, we took some of the older books off the shelves and delivered them to the Salvation Army in Villa Park, who was delighted to have them. We would like to thank everyone who responded so quickly and kindly with their book donations. This was so successful because of the generosity of the wonderful families that we are so blessed to have in our HCHS communities! Thanks so much for your assistance!! The teachers are so appreciative.
