The Teacher Appreciation Committee puts together on-going programs designed to recognize and acknowledge the teachers for their efforts and support of the students. Last year's programs recognized the teachers on numerous occasions: the Fall Book Drive for the teacher lounge, Apple Day Homecoming, Pumpkin Pies for Thanksgiving, Chocolate Bars for Valentine's Day, and the year-end Cookbook Drive.

Maria Kallas and her fellow committee members gave each teacher a fresh pumpkin pie for Thanksgiving. The teachers seemed delighted with their pies --- and thus --- the appreciation shown for all they do to shepard our students to higher levels of excellence.
A beautiful day to hand out delicious apples. Thanks again Mr. Damian Marano.

We love our teachers and staff
so our TEACHER APPRECIATION committee let them know
exactly that
by surprising them with a yummy pumpkin pie for the holiday.
From Principal Tom Paulsen: "Frank and I want to thank the PTO both for the delicious pumpkin pies which were provided to the staff and for the PTO sponsored Holiday Breakfast. Thanks so much."
And also, from Michael: "On behalf of HHSTA, I wanted to pass along thanks for the outstanding effort that PTO has done again this year in showing appreciation to our teachers, faculty and staff. I don't know how often you get to hear just how much these efforts mean to the teachers here at Central. Thanks so much for the support, most recently shown through the generous sharing of pie! We look forward to the Holiday Breakfast again this year with great anticipation. Thanks for your organization's generous and heartfelt support."
Not cold, nor rain, nor dark of morn' will stop this committee!
The TEACHER APPRECIATION committee stood in the chilly, morning drizzle this past Friday to hand out juicy, crisp, apples for the teachers and staff as they came in to work. Parent DAMIAN MARANO, once again this year, donated all the yummy apples given. Mr. Marano, to use the vernacular, "You Rock!" Obviously, their show of appreciation for our fabulous Central staff did not go unnoticed. Thank you Mr. Miller for your kind words:
Dear Mrs. Buddig and Mrs. Edwards,
This morning, while walking in (a little wet from the rain, and a little late from a chaotic week) I was met with a surprise at the pool entrance! As I walked up, I saw a group of people, with some hay bales and bushel baskets, handing out apples. (In fact right now, I am enjoying that very juicy, delicious apple!)I can’t tell you enough how much the apple (and the kind words that came with it) meant to me this morning.
Too often we all get caught up in the hurly-burly of our daily life, but that apple and the sincere “thank you” has made my day!Thank you to you both, and thank you to all of the members of our P.T.O. for everything you do for our students, teachers, and community. Too often we don’t take the time to say what we feel, but I hope you know that we all appreciate the help and support.
Sincerely, George Miller Business Department
