The MAKE A DIFFERENCE Tradition: To assure that acts of kindness do not go unrewarded, the Hinsdale Central PTO established the Make A Difference awards. Happily, kind acts by teachers, librarians, counselors, coaches, and staff are not rare. So, in celebration of those generous spirits, we invite you to nominate someone whose actions Make A Difference in your life or the life of your student at Hinsdale Central. In describing why this individual deserves the award, please be as specific as possible. While applications must be signed, those who nominate will remain anonymous.
Winners are announced at the end of each quarter and presented with both a Certificate of Appreciation and a Lettuce Entertain You gift certificate.

First Quarter:
Congratulations to the 1th quarter 2011/12 Make A Difference Award winners!
These six dedicated winners have been honored with $50 restaurant gift cards, courtesy of the Hinsdale Central PTO. During the first quarter, 60 nomination essays were received, most of them from students. These nominations demonstrate that kindness and good deeds are done on a daily basis by Hinsdale Central teachers and staff, and that they are appreciated by many at the school. Thank You to all who have submitted nomination essays. Make A Difference Awards are given every quarter. Anyone can make a nomination using forms found in the library, guidance or deans' office, or downloading the online form on this page.
